-1st, sam tay is helping us find out if there s avaible place in chervons during june hols.

why chervons again!? yes yes.. cause i know you guys don t like to pay. so do i. so, dur! the cheapest one please..!

-2nd, now that we re so separated in a way or another, can we have like a 'leader' in each class to tell me the infomation? better than looking for every individual to ask for info. thank you.

-3rd, need to know who has what on when during june hols. so that, the dates we book will compromise everyone. then everybody can go!

-4th, how many days do you all want? 2 days 1 night? 3 days 2 nights? discuss, discuss and back me up!

Idol finalist Sylvester "disappointed" with report on his parents

Singapore Idol has turned ordinary Singaporeans into household names overnight but Idol finalist Sylvester Sim had a taste of the flip side of fame on Saturday morning.
A local tabloid had run a story on his family's financial problems over his mother's business ventures.

Media interest in the Idols has been growing as the contest progresses and this has spilled over into their family lives as well.

Sylvester, the eldest among three children, only learnt about the tabloid's article on Saturday morning while he was in the recording studio, preparing for the grand finale.

He said he was "disappointed" with the report.

Sylvester said: "I'm basically bound by the contract so I'm not allowed to say anything about the competition but I'm really quite disappointed about the news that came out at this time especially when it's near to my grand finals, coming to the grand finals."

"I really wanted to stay focused on my competition, really, and I believe this is like my personal family matters, and I really don't wish to comment anything about it. I want to stay focused and I really believe that my supporters out there will keep supporting me for my talent," he added.

In a media statement, MediaCorp said Singapore Idol is about talent and the choice of the voting public.

Vice-President of MediaCorp's Channel 5, Selena Ho added that this is a personal matter which should not affect Sylvester's current standing in the competition.

And "MediaCorp is very serious about protecting the integrity of the programme and will continually monitor all circumstances arising from or relating to the programme and the contestants."

Meanwhile, at a Meet-the-Idols sessions at Toa Payoh and Tampines in the afternoon, Sylvester's fans were unfazed by report.

Like fans of Taufik Batisah - the other Idol finalist - they say the outcome of the finale on 1 December should not be affected by the contestants' family affairs.

"The voice and definitely how good the person is," said one female fan.

"We know that we love him. We love the Idols that's all," a mother of 2 children added.

One young fan told our reporter: "As long as he does well in the grand finals, we will still support him no matter what because he's always our idol. We love you Sylvester!" - CNA

well, guess it's finally goodbye to the laughter we had in the same class. all of us are so spread out next year. it's so sad that i wanna cry. hopefully my appeal goes through.

well, its been 2 years. 2 years well spent getting to know you, getting to be friends with you. but i realised that the majority of us only finally got to sit down nicely talk and thus making us good friends a tad too late. most of our bonds got stronger only after the 2nd semester. 2 years is long. but not long enough. ironically, alot of time was spent keeping to ourselves;afraid to speak up and getting to know each other.
